The INKY Game

The Objective:

What is something that would benefit people in a way they would not think? A game, it's a great way to stay interactive with people in your (Covid-19) bubble. To develop a successful game I needed to analyze trends, study competition, and create a unique solution to designing a game for everyone.

The Solution:

INKY is a clever and creative ‘who doesn’t know it’ game. I designed this game with everyone in mind, it can be varied depending on who is playing, whether by age or theme. Games were a big part of my life growing up but we always struggled to find one that was suitable for the party and people involved. Knowing this, the design is fun and bubbly while also having elements people can relate to.

THE GAME

Taking inspiration from the 70's I created a design using varying abstract shapes. The hands show the players they draw
or write something, but that's as far as they know until they read the instructions.

This idea, to not give everything away,
is mimicking game play itself.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Virtual games are becoming more popular, even though INKY isn't virtual I wanted to reach this audience. Social media is one of the best ways to do this. I created a
GIF for
Instagram stories which mimics game play. Many companies use platforms
to connect to their audience, so I designed
the Instagram profile with posts that get people interactive. Interactivity on social media helps advertise the brand.

MERCHANDISE

It is know that both print and digital games have a big following for merchandise. Creating the interactivity
on social media led me to design these

t-shirts and socks that can be prizes
or sold. When worn they become

walking advertisements.
